QAV500 Quadcopter Build FPV
Added some FPV gear!

FPV Specs:

5.8Ghz TX/RX
Fatshark Dominator Goggles
Bluebeam whip antenna set
600TVL CCD camera

All purchased from Readmaderc. I must commend them on their service, very quick delivery and extremely quick replacement of a faulty battery for my fatsharks (dead cell).

I am currently running the TX and camera of of a 460mah 3s battery, I'll run them off of my 4s flight battery once my team black sheep "Core" arrives ----> http://team-blackshe...ucts/product:14

That's lookin' reeeeal good. Question: How did you mount your VTX? I have one of those, and I haven't come up with a good way for it to get locked down and sit level. How'd you do yours?

Hey Jack

Thanks for the compliment :) Components like the VTX I generally put some high density foam underneath and then cable tie it down. In this example I have used the foam with adhesive on one side. The foam compresses to make up for the uneven shape of the underside of the VTX and once you cable tie the whole thing down it compresses further making a nice secure fitting.

Hi Emanuel

I have not had much success with my current FPV setup, I crashed the quad early on damaging my cloverleaf antenna. I have recently received a replacement but I have not done a full range test yet, the maximum distance from me that I have travelled so far is 400m. I might take the FPV transmitter off and do a range test by foot first :)
