I'm not sure if this is something one of the developers wants to look at, or has time for, or even cares about, but I thought I'd throw it out there...

I set up my CC3D on my Dell Inspiron 1501 (Win7) without issue. I also loaded the new "pre-release" 7-28 GCS on my Dell Mini 10V (Win XP) and had problems with page sizing when I cranked it up at my flying spot. I have no idea if this is confined to just my machine, if it has something to do with the way it's configured, or if it's a problem for all mini's.

I noticed the following problems:

In the Configuration Gadget... (Set for Multirotor/Quad X)

- Aircraft Mixer Settings - The reset button for the throttle curve is placing itself directly over the center of the graph, making it the curve graph un-usable. This problem showed up on the Feb12 GCS as well.

- RC Input - The column titles were appearing over the top of the Throttle channel data, obliterating it.

- Input Flight Mode Switch Settings Tab - That section didn't appear to downsize for the mini screen at all. I could only see the Flight Mode Switch Positions, and couldn't see the lower axis choices part at all.

Most all the other Configuration pages/tabs worked swimmingly... If the GCS is working on other mini's just fine, so be it... I'll think about buying something newer. Just hoped to get some use out of the li'l POS by using it in the dusty, dusty, DUSTY place I fly, and keep my good laptop out of harm's way...

You guys make some pretty babies! :)

An image is worth more than 1000 words, especially for a non native English speaker.

Only takes a few minutes to get a decent, free screen grabber that'll grab what 'cha want....

Okie dokie... Here are the screen shots of the glitches I ran into on a several years old (2009) Dell Inspiron Mini 10V (Win XP). All Windows updates done recently, and rechecked for today.

This shows the reset button directly over the throttle curve graph...

Attached File  Aircraft Mixer Settings.jpg   134.66K   47 downloads

This shows the column headers obliterating the Throttle channel data

Attached File  RC Input.jpg   143.49K   49 downloads

This shows the Flight Mode Switch Settings section incorrectly sized, and as a result, some of the axis choices weren't accessible

Attached File  Flight Mode Swtich Settings.jpg   125.65K   41 downloads

And I noticed another while getting the screen shots that I didn't see earlier today.... the Output screen column heading text wasn't fitting in the little black window it was creating for each one, and i also just noticed the same problem with the headers on the RC Input page had the same problem. I don't know why it looks different on this computer (maybe 'cause it's XP?), but the column headers had a different, more plain look on my Win7 machine.

Hope this helps.

Jack

Wanted to mention that the XP versus Win7 difference I thought I noticed on the column header titles isn't really different. It just looks different because they don't seem to be scaling vertically, and the font size wasn't fitting. The screen resolution quality between the laptop and netbook has something to do with it, too. So, scaling is the only issue on that particular thing.

My netbook is on WinXP and do have some problem viewing all the options too. it's a Acer 7" I think, or something like that. So, I tend to switch to my other laptop. (17")
I'll post my screenshots.

We are working with Chris to get this sorted, it's been a problem since the start, some big changes have been made already and things are progressing, even now the pt/CC3D_Release branch is way better on netbooks.

There will be a build of that GCS soon I would guess where we can nail the rest of the issues.

Not easy supporting netbook and also 1080P :)

Do you think you can get a development environment running on a PC? Does not have to be the netbook and best if it is not as they are slow, the GCS was designed to be a portable app so you can actually run it from a USB stick on the netbook, however getting the dev environment up is not too hard but also not for the computer illiterate either.

http://wiki.openpilo...ment on Windows

That is slightly out of date now, you want to use the latest Qt SDK which is 1.2.1:
