All these flying wings have taken my mind in conflicting directions.  are they going to servive my flying skills better then a plane.

Well i tryed a radjet but it flew like a rock for me, so thought i'd give a bigger plane a try. the Bixler was cheep so what have i got to loose.

i put a DL RX in it and a small 808 # 16 cam on for close in FPV .     SO vid is shot with it while useing the AV out.  poor quality compared to

the GOPRO or SONY , but not to bad for a $50 cam.    took off in LOS and landed in LOS as well.   needs a better motor & prop but it's got me

started.

No i didn't CRASH ; WOO HOO :D  it was a good flight , no damage.  and a great chance to see how the little camera worked

for vid out to goggles.  i think for  longer flights i'll use one of the board camera's  & keep this one for out on the wing, or looking backwards.

OK ; So here is the maiden. :o

The longer flight with no crash was my secound succesfull flight in a plane .  there was the maiden that lasted less then 20sec , as you all seen

above.   rinkled the nose , nothing a bit of tape couldn't fix. then the little cam showed up, so i wacked it on ( because i didn't want to chance the GOPRO  while learning to cash :)     had plenty of practice crashing the quad's & tri's . while in FPV mode through the gopro vid out.

i  have posted vids  that where taken while flying in FPV mode, but thought they weren't good enough to be awarded a goggles badge B)      :D

My first flight after the crash had the extra weight  of the cam - vtx & DL rx in it, so it did'nt want to pull itself of the ground. so while i was

pondering the hand launch, i shut the cam off.    so no vid of first real flight.

i was staying in close because i only had the 5.8gh vtx on.    with the predator goggles.   ! BUT !  for the next go i have put the 1.3gh VTX on.

Great stuff Tim - My SkySurfer / Bixler maiden lasted nanoseconds! My most recent flight has blown this out to ~10 seconds.

Is fortunate that they keep making hot glue and gaffa tape.
