Quick update this evening: I did a short video showing two 868MHz PipX talking to each other:

A good occasion to show both the serial & USB tranmission modes. Looking forward to do proper range testing as soon as I get a chance!

Damm good edouard! Congratulations, I've going to buy xbee but seeing your video makes me freeze about buying this and maybe I will wait to the pipXtreme as I don't need at this time the modems.
When "PipX" will be available to shop? I understand that they still are at development stage, just asking for curiosity.
Regards!

Hello River, there is still quite a lot of work to do on the firmware side, to be honest: at this stage the modems work well both through serial and USB interfaces but we want to implement a proper API mode and other neat features.
In short, I would not expect anything before early 2011: if you want to use XBees for now, you will be able get something in the air within just a few days, and you can always upgrade to PipX when it becomes available... If you are not in such a hurry, go on watching the forums as you do, we'll go on posting as things progress!
