I have some flimsy plastic DJI arms that I would be willing to sell.  No guarantees they won't break in shipping though.

I guess that's only a concern if you buy DJI stuff.    I never have, and probably never will.   Meh...

What an extremely biased and nonsensical video, vilifying Collin with no explanation as to what his claim is.

I have no idea who Collin is nor do I care BUT....

Is it possible that Collin had an exclusive deal with DJI to develop the market and get paid on commission?  Is it also possible that Collin was fired to save this commission?

I have seen this numerous times.  Courts DO NOT issue injunctions lightly.

WOW what bull shit I am not a fan of DJI other than the f450 f550 frames but if this can happen to DJI it can happen to anyone total bull shit with this kinda shit that goes on...

This is of course if they didn't screw him over some how. But at the same time he could be really fucking over some small shops that sell this stuff...

What an ass hole... File your suite but do not punish everyone else for what DJI allegedly did.

Sorry for my harsh wording on this but this kinda hits personally I repair iPhones and could not get parts for over 2 months and almost went under because of a law suite like it...

Should be interesting to see if it actually puts a "Strain on the US market" as some folks are implying. I'm not sure at this point it is a huge deal. You can still talk to EU, UK, CN, etc. god forbid you have a return though. That could be hectic to deal with.

My understanding is that Colin was like the DJI USA Hypeman with a CEO title. The company has a CEO in China as well (Tao Wang). From what I gather something happened shortly after the "SpaceX incident" in which a "russian spy" was brought onto a classified training facility, Colin supposedly made off with some footage of the classified area as well. (All rumor mill of course). Shortly after dealers received the "Colin will no longer be our liaison" email. Word on the street at that time was DJI was suing him.

^---- SpaceX incident story

NOW what we have is the inverse in which Colin is basically saying the DJI China has pushed him out of his rightful place as a key member in the company, responsible for quite a bit of their current place in the market. As such he is asking to be made whole for being pushed out and is in turn counter suing them. (over simplified explanation)

I know for one thing, he sure had the Hypeman thing down!

I have purposed avoided getting into this... because it deal with IP laws and I HATE discussing this stuff... but after watching this video, I posted this on his video:

"You work, you get paid... if it doesn't work out, you go and find another job"

Are you kidding me? You have no idea what Colin Guin's contractual agreement was with DJI. Maybe he was not getting fully compensated and was told he would get a % of the sales from his re-sellers.

Perhaps he is being short handed... it wouldn't be the first time a Chinese company fucks over someone for their own gains. Clearly the judge thinks so...

I wish your video let the viewer decide what they should think and formulate their own opinion.

From what I see, this video is someone who is frustrated they can't get their RTF kits from BestBuy and they can easily point an ignorant finger at one person to blame for all this mess.

This is 100% DJI's fault whether you like it or not. They are a corporation, and they allowed themselves to be strong armed by ONE person. This is HORRIBLE a business practice.

Indeed a battle of C level execs... I concur with regard to that guy being mad he can't get his gear as easily. He should have indeed layed off *HIS* opinion while sharing. =] Unfortunately his video is one of the most complete sources of info on the subject.

Looks like the realtionship between DJI and Colin is a bit wobbly at the moment.

Colin seems to have had the rug pulled out from under him. Don't know him and don't have a horse in the race but for a judge to take that kind of action there has to be substantial grounds.

Defaming articles about Colin's bringing a Russian national to the Space-X launch under an assumed identity now seem tinged with hints of attempted character assassination.

For grounds, just read the full injunction. Pretty nasty stuff.
