I did a build thread over on the FPVUK Forum.
Here's the link

Build thread
Well you can bump and grind, If it's good for your mind
Well you can twist and shout, Let it all hang out

But you won't fool the children of the Revolution

Here is my CopterControl board on a Kinjal frame with his hat (top plate) removed to show respect for the OpenPilot team.  :)
Nothing fancy, Plush 10A ESC, cheap motors, FrSky receiver with telemetry (RSSI, voltage, and current), Gaui 8x4.5 props, BlueTooth dongle.
Someone (I think it was SeismicCWave) said in one RCG post that CC is not plug-and-play... well, it kinda is!  :D
I just put it on the frame, configured the basic settings (Quad-X, output channels, radio/accel calibration and such - and it flew!
Nice and stable hover with almost no trim even in a rate mode! Amazing...
In attitude mode I guess I can just put a transmitter down and go get a cup of tea.  B)

Kudos to the project team for such a wonderful masterpiece of a hardware and software, well done!

Thanks to AlPackin I finally got my quad flying. Had to swap boards with him though. Got home and had to do a quickie video of it up in the air. Sorry for the bad quality. Grabbed the first camera available with charged batteries. I went and got another frame to so later will be getting another CC and putting on that one. (the silver arms)

Nice work Seadog. Now add one of you nicest photos so your quad can be displayed in the role of honour on the first page/post.

Finished at last!

This tricopter is to the rcexplorer.se design - slightly more weighty than his, but not too bad.  With its multi-coloured temporary "training wheels" it's all-up weight is 1020g - I'm sure a large part of that is due to the number of cable ties I used...

XYH 28-30 750kW brushless outrunner motors
Turnigy Plush 18 ESCs
10 x 4.5 props (2 CCW, 1 CW)
3s 2300mA LiPo
Hitec Optic 6 Sport radio gear (2.4Ghz)

Has now flown twice - and broken 2 props.  There's just not enough room in my garden for a large tricopter flown by a novice!  I'll try and get a video posted once I can get down to the local playing field (weather permitting).

All I have to do now is learn how to fly it...

Future plans: to make a basic quad from the design in the OpenPilot wiki - I think this tri is a bit fragile for a raw beginner...

AFTERTHOUGHT: Can I have a medal now? B)

I just finished my Tricopter too. The frame is BlueSky RC and I used fiberglass arms that I ripped some poplar to fit tight inside of.  Motors are spare XAircraft X450 I had laying around, 1000kv, 120w I believe.  HK 18amp ESC's.  RC is PPM right now but I'm going to install BrokenRotors Spektrum adapter and an Orange satellite.

It flies :)
