Hello,
that's it, the IOIO send the different channel via serial to a PPM signal generator (the IOIO himself has to much to do with the adb to generate a nice ppm signal, i tried...)
In my case, the PPM generator is also a mixer that is configured by the IOIO, I can choose which channel come from, for exemple from the Android terminal or from the PPM-IN.
I did that to be able to fly using a standard radio and add to channel to drive a camera...

well, I'm not very at ease with git... and there is 2 different folder dealing with android, which one is the good one?

I'm not sure which one to use for Android, but Android support was never fully finished by Ligi, so I don't know if you want to base your work off his. Better might be to start from the latest 'next'.

He came on yesterday to say he'd updated it. Not had chance to try it again yet.

Well, I've tested this tool with latest firmare. Looks  like it works fine to PID tuning.
Of cause there are some bugs with font sizes and activity switching, but in general this application is quite usefull for on field tuning.

Tested on Samsung G2

Ligi has also announced on Google+ that there will be an update of dubwise at Landkamp.
