CopterControl has 10 outputs: OctoCopter plus Camera Stabilization support

There is now an option to select so the receiver port becomes 4 channels of output (so only use when you don't plug in a PWM receiver). Inputs 3-6 become outputs 7-10. In this case I used outputs 5 and 6 for camera stabilization (to power the servos) and then directly plugged the signal from each receiver pin into the ESC connector. The ground came from the battery path, but a breakout board that shares the ground from the receiver header might be good in the future.
I also demo'd that it can fly fine on 7 motors although yaw and roll became weakly coupled.
This was also a really good test of what CopterControl can do because I just threw this upgrade together without much planning. Four of the motors were ParkFlyer 480 on Turnigy 25A ESC (I know, barely safe) and four were KEDA 20-22L on SS 18A ESCs. Two of the arms were CF and seemed to resonate much more than the other 6 aluminum arms.
The frame was a UAP1 frame from AGL hobbies. I really liked how I could just upgrade it from quad to octo. I'm using a Jakub's gimbal mounted from Rusty's vibration isolation camera mount which worked quite well. I didn't really do any tuning on this - just installed other motors and configured the octo. The only thing I did was move the mixer slider from 33% to 80% which is necessary if you are going to do things like turn off a motor. We probably should change that default.
Anyway, this will be going to an internal testing release this week and hopefully released in 1-2 weeks. Then hopefully some of you camera buffs can get some high quality setups and really show what this can do.

Nope, I did all already so it was all configured with GCS. However, we might want to change the default mixer strengths I think. This will mean the PID settings will change but does allow it to fly better with a missing blade.

Heh. Well it's a great frame to work with ;-). Just slightly too big to fly in and out of trunk though. I need to post some video from flying in Austin with the quad version, that I got really stable. This still needs some tuning.

I want to use a 10CHG Futaba with a Y6 and HEX with camera stability, what receiver do I need?

Yes, my Sony NEX 5 was onboard but the quad absorbed the impact and it was not from that high.
That's the nature of our business. It is very risky. That's why we have to take all precaution for safety.
I only broke the frame. Camera is ok. I think the camera battery died but that was on the way out.

I did test this hardcoded (as you know) several weeks ago with my Y6 and camera stabilisation but after a short liftoff two ESC decided to give up and the Y6 was mounted down for a rebuild. (I didn't like that it is to hard to work with the Y6 frame I got and change things like the ESC:s)
One thing. After I have seen your video I realize it would be perfect for testing youtubes new anti shake filter!
Could you please try that with this video? Would be nice to know how good it is...(Because using anti shake on my computer means days of wait....)
