I also want to build a GCS(actually just a PC simulator for attitude simulation), I have a few knowledge in Qt, and maybe I can help you. I have read you GSC code and aspired me

i would really want to learn how to do this, so with some time and effort i can get involved helping on more important field.

Guys, instead of waiting for the team to contact each and everyone of you, I suggest you browsing http://progress.openpilot.org and look for a task you like. Even the ones with an owner assigned, if you see that no work as been done in a while you can contact the current owner and tell him/her you are interested in taking ownership of the task.
If there' s something you would like to work on but there's no task created for that, please create the issue and take ownership, being a bug fix or an improvement.

If later you have any doubts about coding style, coding in general, GIT, review process etc, feel free to PM one of the senior devs.
