Hello all. I'm new here. Been lurking for a while, trying to get my head around everything. I've not built anything yet, I'm just in the planning stages. I have a little (very little) fixed wing RC experience and am learning heli RC right now. I know nothing about coding and I have just enough electronic knowledge to be dangerous. I do however like to read and am pretty good at spelling, etc. In other words....I'd like to help with the Wiki or any other documentation that needs it. Dankers says someone needs to take ownership on key pages....I'm not exactly sure what that means, but I'd probably be willing to do that. My problem is, like just about everything else here, it's all over my head. Someone point me in the right direction and tell me how to do what needs done and I'm your man. Sorry about the long post, just trying to intro myself.

Hi everybody!
My name is Mike and i am living in Vienna.
I have long-term experience in development of embedded systems software/hardware.
I am currently working as R&D Project Manager / Senior System Engineer at Thales Vienna (www.thalesgroup.com)
I have 20 years of experience in C/C++ embedded software development/design/architecture on various platforms, as well as experience in Java and UI coding(mainly Eclipse RCP).
I am using Netbeans or Eclipse but i am also very familiar with barebone coding using vim and friends.
As a development and work platform i prefer Linux.
As it comes to RC flying i have experience in Wing and Rotor models, i at the moment own a GAUI 500X Quadcopter, a TREX 450 SE V2, an Acrobat SE, a Jamara ROO-Jet and a Multiplex Acromaster.
I would like to start building and using OpenPilot for at least the Quadcopter, maybe for the Jet as well.
As i saw you are using the Atlassian tools (Jira, Crucible) for issue management and code review, i am familiar with them (even with administration) as we use them at work too.
So if i can be of any help for this project feel free to contact me, i would appreciate to contribute to this great project.
all the best
Mike
