FWIW, I've used the RCTimer 2830-14's (750KV), Hoverthings 900KV motors, and the NTM 1200KV motors. I prefer a 4s setup so for me the magic combo ended up being the RCTimers (if you can get enough of them to put 4 good ones together, bearings are hit and miss). I have a set of Avroto's I was going to put in it but they just look way too big for this frame. I loved the NTM's but most of my batteries are 4s.

Why didn't you stay with the Hoverthings 900KV?

They were very twitchy for me. I've never experienced a motor causing erratic behavior, but I swapped them out and the issue went away, I put them back in (since I like their build quality much better than the RCtimers) and the hyper sensitive and erratic behavior came back.

hi guys ..
.. now finally i also decided about this sexy frame to be a "must have" for me. it´s kind of complicated and expensive to get it to my country, and for spare parts, shipping cost will be more than the parts .. BUT - after having checked very, very many frames .. for me, this is finally the best of all. so looks like i´m in the line now .. :)
despite hoverthings being a small business, i found them very kind and responsive; so i believe - if there might be no answer, there should be a reason; it´s definitely not their policy! btw .. right now, tom seems to cut frames 24/7 .. slowly building up even stock.
my only concern now is the cc3d! .. i´m decided to want this board; but after the frame will show up here with me, i´ll have all components for the initial build except flight controller (and fpv, but that´s for later). constantly checking .. no movement visible. no chance to get it .. even not the "old" version .. :(
kind regards from austria,
christian.
ps: pls. don´t mix it up with australia, i´m living pretty close to the exact opposite side of the globe!

How about some SK3's? I know Dane is using them, good reports so far. Plenty of power (apparently)  Havent seen any video though.

Putting new frame together with all the FPV gear/tracker for footage. Love the motors so far. Can't wait to see how the climb is. I have an eagletree altimeter now so altitude will be accurate.

I have ordered some SK3's to try because of you Dane. They better be as good as you say. ;)

Hey guys, first time posting. Been checking out heaps of fpv videos on the net and decided to start my own build based on the HT-FPV and closely replicating Juz's build. Juz, love your work mate. Cant wait for my frame to arrive and eventually get this thing in the air. :)
