Hello developers!
I am new here and as it turns out, early on in the game for me, i need some help.
So I am trying to setup my dev environment to do some work on a GCS plugin and am running into an odd snafu. I have downloaded the latest source tree and followed the directions at http://wiki.openpilo...ironment on OSX to setup my build environment. The build succeeds (make gcs) and produces a package that appears to be correct. However, running the app brings up the Qt simulator which appears to be geared towards mobile applications and no sign of the actual GCS interface. Weird.
I am running Lion and have the latest XCode installed. I know that is not a lot of information to go on, but I am not sure what to provide to give better context at this point. Anyone seen this before? I feel that I am severely missing something regarding the Qt framework and its setup. I have never used it before. Can anyone give me a hand debugging this so that I can get an appropriate build?
Thanks in advance.
GCS binary running QT mobile simulator on OSX?

Had the same issue when starting under OSX.
I hope i remember correctly how i fixed that:
1) open the project in QtCreator
2) change the runner settings to desktop application
3) recompile
should work.
i hope i didn't forget a step i did.
cheers

That was just the jumpstart I needed. I could never get the GCS to compile using QtCreator, but I was able to figure out what I did wrong in my initial setup. First off, the instructions I followed were actually - http://wiki.openpilo...elopment+on+Mac. I added the path to the Qt Simulator toolchain instead of the Desktop one.
The directions at the wiki page I referenced should probably be updated to point out the two options. I went to attempt to do so with my forum login and it failed so I will hold off on creating a wiki account at the moment.
Thanks for your help!
