OK, let me explain this really clearly. Firstly the guy behind MultiPilot32 came here in the early days, he wanted to form a for profit business around OpenPilot and we said no, it is not what we are about and something we do no want, money causes more trouble and trust me no one here is anyone's free staff, this is part of an agreement I made at the start of the project with Vassilis way back and I will stick to it forever. So the MP32 guy decided not to help us of course but formed his own project, this is cool as competition helps everyone get better, cloning however does not help anyone but obviously damages the originator.
.......
As I have said over and over again, the idea with
OP was to be a community project that benefits the whole community and shows respect to the people that have put in the work, I think we have a great project that works very well. No one is making any money off it, we respect all the people that are here and put their time in to it, a lot of what we do is based on trust for people to do the right thing and keep with the spirit of that we are trying to do.
hi dankers ..
.. started to read the whole thread top down, but came to a stop right here @ page 19 .. now way out to answer that NOW before finishing the rest ..

i´m also quite new with multicopters, but my search for an appropriate flight controller inkluding software finally led me here - and JUST here - being "stuck". i cant really explain that with all facts - maybe also a feeling .. everything simply "touches" good. now with this explanation of yours i found the final acknowledgement for this. not only the project, devices & community sound real and deserve a lot of trust, but even more the philosophy behind attracts me completely.
i even left a "good" job years ago, ´cause finally i couldn´t stand the lies and fight of the people against others instead of cooperating - any more.
.. despite having studied electronics long ago, and with a good common understanding and some more experience in "other" fields, i´m most sorry, that i might not be able to contribute in programming or things like this; only idea right now would be possibly translation of doku into german i.e.
kind regards from austria,
christian.
ps: it´s really worth to support
OP, it must not .. and never will go down - for sure. good things always "pay" back - in one way or another, sometimes it only takes some time.
