A friend of mine has shown that this frame is not unbreakable :D

At least the CC survive the crash.

Be careful in the hobby industry and the massive marketing, there was a video of them "abusing" that frame to make it look strong but it had nothing attached to it so lacked the weight of the motors and batteries etc, I think that weight is what would cause the issues in a crash. Testing with an empty frame isn't representative of how the part is actually used, so a bit odd.

Looks a nice frame but I would put the old $25 Easyquad frame against it any day, alas, that was heavy beast and was made from steel. :o  Given the abuse James put it through (and it's still going with original arms) likely the same steel they make black boxes out of.

I've heard the dji frame has flex issues as well, seems to flex and vibrate with some motors. It's also heavier than many frames.

Agreed :D
I prefer forums/threads/users using terms like: "In my opinion", "In my view", "maybe I'm wrong", "I would like to listen to other opinions", "I would like to share this with the community", "Sorry if I bother you", "please", "thank you", "you are welcome".
This is what I'm trying to transmit to my 3 years old son: respect.

Sorry if a little off topic.

Yes judging by some of the video's DJI released it did seem unbreakable. But as Dave mentioned the weight of all the motors and batteries etc. makes a big difference in a crash. I have two aluminium quad frames, one is a light setup (750g) the other is a heavy setup, bigger motors/props/battery etc and weighs 1500g, the lighter setup has been abused terribly, as that is the one I am learning to fly on, and It does seem indusctructible (I can't say the same for the motors and other components on the frame unfortunately lol). My heavier setup on the other hand has only been involved in one crash and the frame was a complete write off and needed a complete rebuild.

It still a game of

Weight, Durability, Flight Time.

You can only have 2 :)

If juz loses signal and plows his quad deep enough into the ground, does it pop up in Chicago?

This is how far i am

think this frame is a bit on the heavy side just motors and frame without ESC = 600g

Attached File  dji2.jpg   96.03K   51 downloads

Attached File  dji1.jpg   42.65K   54 downloads

when im done with Gopro and 4000mah Bat it will weight 1400g and will get around 8-9min flight ti,e and 11-12min hover.
