Is there a easy way, or do I have to re-install from scratch, re-customize my add-ins and settings, and then copy over my existing .uav and firmware files?

I have GCS on a Vista laptop and a Linux desktop - I copy UAV files between the two, and also save the settings from CC card on both machines.
Not encountered a problem yet, as long as both are on the same GCS version.

The GCS is actually pretty much stand alone. A few files are stored with your configuration (see herefor location details) You can copy your installation folder or move it from location without installing it again.
You can also import & exportyour GCS settings which make it pretty easy :-)

Followup: I'm all set. I simply did a fresh install on my Windows 7 laptop using the same Install file as I used on my desktop (XP SP3). I then used GCS Import/Export settings to/from a USB drive, and all is well. One note of interest: in Berkley's post #4, the reference to the Wiki page showing where the settings files are located: The recommended method for finding the files on a Windows 7 machine does not work. Windows 7 (Home Premium at latest maintenance level) would not allow me to open the ApplicationData folder, regardless of my Folder Options settings and with User Access Control set to minimum... I always got the 'Access Denied' message. GCS Settings Import had no problem putting the files in the right place, you just can't look to see if that's where they really are.
