Great thread!   You've inspired me to take my LOS to the next level.

I would love to see more images of your quad from different angles.  I'm try to get a good feel on how you attach the components.

Also check out these nice folks builds. There are some decent details on FPV setups.

Thank you. I followed Kevin's advice and pretty much copied a lot of others. Lots of zipties and sticky tape and velcro. If I have time I will take some more pics of my quad. It is getting heavy nowadays.

So I have a $100 credit at DIYdrones.com store. Anyone have an opinion on what I should get? I am lost.

Thanks for the recommendations.  I looked at each and it gave me some really good ideas.

Does anyone have an opinion of 1.3mhz tx and rx versus 900mhz?  I'm using a Dx7 and I hope to get Fatshark Dominators or Headplays.  Also, what recommendations on OSD systems?  Eagle Tree?

How does one figure the limit they can fly up to..?  Is it a given that your video will crap out way before the controller?  I only wonder because of how high you went, if you loose signal, dont you kind of free-fall? :D  Cool stuff!

I watched this video before finalizing my order.  I found it on RMRC's FAQ page here: FPV FAQ - Some decent info for those of us who know little about this whole thing!

I picked 1.3 because again, I saw what everyone else was using. The reasoning behind that is that 1.3 is better video quality and penetration than 900mhz. Although 900 mhz does have longer range, it is futil when using a multirotor because due to limited battery life you cant even think about experiencing the full range of 900mhz.

As far as OSD goes, I run a cyclops simple OSD from foxtechfpv.com because it has the critical info (gps, voltage, and current consumed). It is cheaper than all of those other OSD that have return to home autopilot functions we dont use on multirotors.

I am not going to answer that question(but im sure you will figure it out). Lately I have stopped going high and focused on going low, super low infact, cut grass low. Secondly, I will say that I run a DX7 and that my radio will drop out before my video as far as distance goes.
