Haha I've been flying fixed wings since i was 6 and my last zaggi I got the elevator reversed (and even have a video of when I checked it and thought it was right) and nose planted the first few too.
Also thanks to John888 for sending me a Bixler! Santa award granted and hopefully soon I'll join the ranks of fixed wing navigation.

Yeah we updated that for CC3D, thanks for the heads up though!

Depends what your remote device did. For example you could talk via serial and if you faked out the remote telemetry end you could take over any objects. I've also got a peripheral board for my revo that has an overo gumstix (small computer) which communicates with Revo via uavtalk and can send objects back.
However, it's not really plug and play and I suspect most uses will require changing the firmware.

Yeah I think from reading these comments I'm going to get my zaggi flying well (since I have it) and then go to a bixler for intermediate range and cost effective. Once that is going well I'll maybe class up to some of these huge things. TheOtherCliff - thanks for the suggestions on mods, I'm sure that will save some time.
I love the huge airframes but given the size of my apt and the fact I drive a golf I think getting it out of the center of Houston would be funny

In Topic: Setting the Output Channel update rate above 400hz for RapidESC Simonk Firmware

Yeah. The software limits those by display because at 500 Hz unless the ESC is designed to take a difference pulse range you get to 100% on which won't play well. But if you change it in the UAVO I believe the normal dropdown will show that as a "Custom" selection. Just make sure your max time is something like 1900 us ... or better yet even 500-1500 us.
